Star Wars Campalorian Arrowhead District Spring Camporee May 1, 2021

Arrowhead District will be holding a Spring Camporee this year in TWO locations to help your units get outside and break the Pandemic Blues! This event will be a one-day event, no overnight, and help your unit to re-group and get outside. We will hold the event in two locations on May 1, East and West.

East: Hills House, Alvirne High School, Hudson, NH https://goo.gl/maps/rhHc1nHmKXThnnpZ8 West: Chappell Tractor, Milford, NH https://goo.gl/maps/hM3P2vG2a8eTnb9v9

To maintain safety, numbers for this event will be limited to 80 participants at each location (scouts and leaders). All current safety guidelines for and the State of New Hampshire will be followed (i.e., masks, sanitizers, no mixing of patrols/cohorts, no sharing of equipment or food). Links for these guidelines are found under General Rules.

We will have a series of stations for the patrols to face challenges and to test their skills! Patrols will bring their own equipment to use at stations and will earn points based on skill, teamwork,

Merrimack, Hollis, and points West are expected to register for the West location, whereas Nashua, Hudson, Litchfield, and points East are expected to register for the East location. Cost for the event is $9 per participant ( or leader). Registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis, and those units that are running a station will be guaranteed a spot!

Units will register by cohort. Cohorts can be a maximum of 10 participants and must have two 21+ registered leaders to maintain safety. All participants will also receive a snazzy Mandalorian™ face mask!

III When you check-in, your cohort will receive a list of stations. Each cohort will start at a different station, but the stations can then be visited in any order. IV Leaders with the cohort DO NOT PARTICIPATE in the station. Leaders are there to maintain safety guidelines for the cohort. V The Patrol Leader will notify the Grand Moff of each station that the patrol has arrived. The patrol will ask permission of the Moff to enter the station. The PL will also confer with the Moff to get the scorecard punched before leaving the station. VI The Grand Moff of any station is the final arbiter of any conflicts concerning the scoring at that station. The on-site event Imperial Governor is the final arbiter of any conflicts concerning a patrol’s overall score and ranking. Since no adults are allowed in stations, any arbitration must be initiated and conducted by the Patrol Leader. VII Use The Force! Take note that Grand Moffs and the Imperial Governor are impervious to mind control.

Equipment Lists Required equipment list for the patrol will be provided ahead of the camporee. Stations as of this writing are still being finalized.

Personal Equipment List Scout Spirit Class A uniform Layered synthetic clothing for cold weather activity – NO COTTON! Proper footwear for snow and/or mud – NO SNEAKERS Rain gear Folding pocketknife (No sheath knives allowed) Compass and whistle High-energy snacks and water (no sharing!) Scout Handbook Notebook and pencil

Strategy Hints All stations are Mandalorian-themed and based on Scouting skills learned through First Class rank. Make sure you have your Scout Handbook to use as a guide and reference. At each station you will be given a task to complete. Make sure you understand what is expected and ask questions if necessary. Take a bit of time to plan how you will attack the task. Patrols that work together with each Scout contributing ideas and effort ALWAYS score better than patrols where some Scouts are left out. Display your patrol flag, and use your patrol yell, at every appropriate opportunity. Budget your time. There is enough time to visit every station, but only if you don’t take too long at any one task. A partial score is better than zero. This is the way.
