This is his second 18-hole lead/co-lead in a major, as he led after opening with an 8-under 62 at the 2017 U.S. Senior Open; he went on to finish second behind Kenny Perry. Triplett is making his fourth start at The Senior Open and first since 2015. His best finish was T8 at Royal Porthcawl in 2014. He played The Open Championship twice, and he finished T60 (73-71-74-72) at St. Andrews in 2000. In April at the Bass Pro Shops Legends of Golf at Big Cedar Lodge, Triplett holed a bunker shot for birdie on the first playoff hole to secure the victory with partner Paul Broadhurst. -

During the day's press conference, Scott Kelly, Marketing Director of the PGA European Tour emotionally welcomed the change on behalf of the PGA European Tour. The 2011 Vivendi Trophy The Vivendi Trophy takes place every two years, alternating with the Ryder Cup. The Vivendi Trophy 2011 will take place from 15th to 18th September at the Saint-Nom-La- Bretèche Golf Course. Following the success of its 2009 version, the second edition of this great competition, initiated and organised by CANAL+ EVENTS, will once again put the 10 best players in Continental Europe in a head to head with the elite of Great Britain and Ireland. A new champion at the helm Jose Maria Olazabal will succeed Colin Montgomerie as the Ryder Cup 2012 Team Captain. The Spanish champion will then head the Seve Trophy 2011. "Txema" may, like Monty did in 2009, oversee and observe the two teams. This arrival is also highly symbolic: we all remember the achievements of the fearsome pair in the Ryder Cup with Olazabal and Ballesteros. -

COMMUNIQUÉ DE PRESSE 9 AOT 2013 PADRAIG HARRINGTON : DE RETOUR À CRANS-MONTANA EN STAR MONDIALE DU GOLF Lors de sa dernière participation en 2000, l’Irlandais Padraig Harrington, alors jeune professionnel de golf, n’avait pas passé le cut. Après 13 ans d’absence, à 41 ans, il revient à Crans-Montana pour disputer cette édition 2013 de l’OMEGA EUROPEAN MASTERS (5-8 septembre) fort d’un fabuleux palmarès : trois victoires de tournois majeurs, onze succès sur l'European Tour et deux sur le US PGA Tour, ainsi que six participations à la Ryder Cup au sein de l’équipe européenne. Né le 31 août 1971, Padraig Harrington a grandi dans la même banlieue de Dublin que Paul McGinley, autre joueur de Ryder Cup. Il se mit au golf à l’âge de quatre ans, puis connut une brillante carrière amateure internationale avant de passer professionnel en 1995. En 1998, Harrington débuta sur le circuit américain où il devint membre régulier de l'US PGA Tour en 2003. Les moments forts de sa prestigieuse carrière furent ses deux victoires au British Open 2007 et 2008, ainsi que son triomphe lors du US PGA Championship 2008, soit trois tournois majeurs. Sans oublier de mentionner qu’il se classa également à neuf reprises entre le second et le dixième rang d’un tournoi de Grand Chelem. Contact: Amanda Evans Monterey Peninsula Foundation (831) 649.1533 [email protected] World Champion SF Giants Buster Posey and Matt Cain Both To Play in 2015 AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro‐Am Monterey, California, December 1, 2014 – Famous for their three World Series titles in the past five seasons, San Francisco Giants star catcher Buster Posey and pitcher Matt Cain have both accepted invitations to play in the 2015 AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro‐Am, February 9‐15. While Cain has delighted fans at four previous tournaments, Posey is making a much‐anticipated debut in the pro‐am, which is played at Pebble Beach Golf Links, Spyglass Hill Golf Course and the Monterey Peninsula Country Club’s Shore Course. Posey is an avid golfer who has played Augusta National Golf Club. Cain, who is making his fifth straight appearance in the AT&T Pro‐Am, made the cut in his first two appearances (2011‐2012). The World Champion duo joins a field of elite PGA TOUR professionals, including Jim Furyk, Padraig Harrington and winning Ryder Cup captain Paul McGinley, as well as a celebrity field with fan favorites Ray Romano, Chris O’Donnell, Don Cheadle and Andy Garcia. Jimmy Walker is the defending champion. “We are thrilled that Buster Posey is joining us,” said Steve John, Monterey Peninsula Foundation CEO and tournament director. “He is a tremendously popular superstar who is certain to be an instant attraction.
