Preparing for Flu Season 2019 - 20 Although August, it will soon be time for patients to start thinking about getting their annual flu vaccination. This year we will be supporting St John’s Medical Practice in Aberdare, talking to patients attending the surgery, and reminding them about having their jab. This will also give us the opportunity to “myth bust” with people who have declined to have their jab in the past, in the hope that they will reconsider their decision this year. We will also be working with our 3rd sector partners and networks to raise awareness of the availability of a free flu vaccine for carers.

Mingles with Shingles! Keir Hardie Health Park will be hosting a Mingles with Shingles event at 1pm on Thursday 22nd August. Practices 1,2 & 3 will be inviting patients to come along to have information about having the shingles vaccine. Information on local activities and support will be provided and light refreshments will be served. For further information please contact GPSO Sharon Lewis [email protected]

Articles for inclusion in the September bulletin to be received by 16th August Thank you
