Kihikihi Rugby Club is in the enviable position of having two international players helping coach their senior men’s team in 2018. What makes it so unique is the fact that they are both women who are held in high esteem world-wide — Black Ferns’ siblings Carla (15s, Sevens) and Chyna Hohepa (Sevens). Carla, who nowadays lives in Japan with her partner Karne Hesketh and son Cohen, 6, was a member of the triumphant Black Ferns 15s team that won the World Cup in Ireland in August, 2017.
