Memorandum of Understanding with Dodgers to present the “OKC Dodgers Rookie League” youth T-ball and baseball league at Wheeler Park, 1120 South Western Avenue, and at Stars and Stripes Park, 3701 South Lake Hefner Drive, April 13, 2021 through April 12, 2022. Wards 6 and 8.

Location: Wheeler Park, 1120 South Western Avenue, and Stars and Stripes Park, 3701 South Lake Hefner Drive.

Background: Baseball (Group) is a team based in Oklahoma City that plays in the and is the Triple-A affiliate of the . Since 2018, Group has partnered with the City’s Parks and Recreation Department (OKC Parks) to present the “OKC Dodgers Rookie League” (League) at the above locations. The League consists of organized T-ball and baseball games and practices for local youth ages three to eleven. The parties wish to enter into a new MOU to continue presenting the League.

Under the MOU, Group and OKC Parks would mutually plan, organize, and conduct the League. Unless specified otherwise, each party would perform its responsibilities under the MOU at its own expense. Group would provide uniforms, equipment, and registration materials for League participants. Group would also be responsible for promoting and marketing the League, with input from City staff. OKC Parks would provide, train, and manage all League coaches, officials, and volunteers, as well as establish League rosters and schedules.

Group would agree to comply with applicable laws, rules, regulations, guidelines, and policies; indemnify the City; and ensure that its adult agents and volunteers pass a background screening process consistent with the OKC Parks Youth Protection Policy. The MOU is for one year from the date of approval by the City. Upon mutual consent, it may be renewed for two additional, one- year terms, for a total of three years. Either party may cancel the MOU upon sixty calendar days’ notice.
