Sotomayor is the electronic music project with an Afro-Latin influence by the brothers Raúl (musical production) and Paulina (vocalist). It is a project that fuses rhythms such as cumbia, afro beat, dancehall, Peruvian “chicha” and merengue with rhythms for the dance floor.
The band debuted in 2015 with “Salvaje” and after its launch they appeared on Vive Latino, as well as appeared on more than 25 “best of the year” lists in various countries such as Mexico, Argentina, USA, Chile, Costa Rica and Spain among others. They also won the award for "Best Electronic Album of the Year" by IMAS in Mexico.
Sotomayor has also had a tour of the United States, Europe and Latin America, they are also the only Mexican band that has had the honor of recording 2 sessions to present on the renowned radio station in Seattle, USA, KEXP.
