Imported Drama Series in Europe

The essential report for anyone buying or selling drama programs!

The value of imported drama series for European broadcasters was $6,012 million in 2010 for the 120 main channels (nearly all of which are free-to-air) across 21 territories. This figure was similar to 2009, but was well down on the $6,743 million recorded in 2008. The report summarizes more than 300,000 program transmissions, tracked by episode, which are then matched to the net revenue of the significant broadcasters.

The average channel in Europe transmits 3.7 hours of imported drama series a day – this report drills down to where and when imported drama is transmitted. The Imported Drama Series in Europe report gives readers a top-down view, allowing them to assess, for the first time, how much value Europe’s top broadcasters gain from imported drama series.
