TKC Mythbusters!  Ya’ll are school employees, so you get summers off right?

• Our summer session had 49 days, which means we were there 564 hours. • We had 56 staff this summer entertaining, engaging & exploring with 234 kids, 11.5 hours a day. TKC Mythbusters!  It’s just glorified babysitting each day.

• 14 staff, mostly licensed teachers, taught 7 weeks of Discovery Zone Enrichment Camps. That’s 98 camps! • Those 98 camps involved 784 hours of hands-on, meaningful experiences with kids! • That was just the morning hours!

TKC Mythbusters!  It’s so messy! My kids are just filthy when I pick them up!

• We do try to make our experiences hands-on. • This makes them memorable, relevant to kids and engaging for our youth. • When we aren’t making watermelons explode, mixing vinegar into just about anything or elbows deep in a sensory table of mud & tractors, we are off site, exploring… TKC Mythbusters!  TKC staff get paid to play all day!

• We enjoyed 16 field trips this summer, between preschool, school age and community participants. • 7 of them involved physical exercise. • 5 of them were education based. • 4 of them were purely for entertainment. • 2 of them involved environmental learning.
