Bath and Steam Train Ride, Talk and Tour Young Members Panel Join us at Bristol and Bath’s , to experience a ride on a steam train, and learn about RAILWAYS the locomotives and the restored railway line.

AVON VALLEY We will meet from 10:30 at the station Bistro for tea and coffee, before boarding a steam train at RAILWAY 11:00. This will first take us to the northernmost end of the STEAM restored railway, at , then south to the Avon Riverside station. TRAIN RIDE, We will then be given a tour of the railway yard and goods shed, including the history of the site, followed TALK & TOUR by a short talk on the workings of a steam engine with a look at one of the locomotives .

For those wishing to stay for lunch, there is a bistro onsite at Bitton, although the cost of food is not th included for this event. Sunday 7 October 2012 Donations are welcomed after the tour, for the 10:30 – 13:00 continuing restoration of the line and trains.

Meet at: Please note, although seats will be reserved on the Bistro Bath Road train, it is still open to the public so will not wait for Bitton us! So please arrive promptly. (If you really have a Bristol problem with delays, the train will return through BS30 6HD Bitton on its way to Avon Riverside at 11:25 when you can join us).
