It is here that we will be celebrating our third anniversary. Members of the Luncheon Club will be baking a very special celebration cake and, as our emblem is a full bloom rose, all members will be presented with a real rose at their table. We will also be celebrating one of our members 80th birthday, a very special double celebration. At our last luncheon of the season, which was held at the Sleepy Hollow, we surprised Val Sue Smith, our transport guru, with a beautiful photo album with pictures of all members of the Club who attended our Christmas lunch and, as it was Val's birthday on the same day, a beautiful cake in the shape of a maypole was presented to her. This was to remind Val of the mistakes she made while dancing the Maypole, of course Val was innocent, she blamed Santa Clause. I would like to say a big thank you to all the ladies for their wonderful gift, I’m looking forward to meeting up again in October. See you soon.
