Day 2: Delhi Full day city tour

Visit some of the interesting sites of Delhi such as, Qutub Minar, Humanyun’s Tomb, Drive past President’s House, India Gate, and Red fort (visit from outside). Later also visit Jamma Masjid & enjoy Rickshaw ride at Chandni Chowk, visit Raj Ghat - crimination site of Mahatma Gandhi, the father of the Nation, Lotus Temple, Lakshmi Narayan Temple.

Overnight in Delhi.

Day 3: Delhi - (205 Kms/ 5 Hrs) Morning start your journey to the Taj City, AGRA. On arrival at Agra and proceed to your hotel.

Agra is famous as the home to one of the Seven Wonders of the World – the . The architectural splendor of the mausoleums, the fort and the palaces in Agra is a vivid reminder of the opulence of the legendary Mughal Empire. Agra was their capital for nearly a hundred years from 1564. A pleasant town, with a comparatively easy pace, Agra is known for its superb inlay work on marble and soapstone by artisans who are hereditary craft persons. The city is also famous for its carpets, gold thread embroidery and leather shoes.

Later visit Agra city, visits include the Taj Mahal – the inimitable poem in white marble. Built over a period of 22 years, by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in 1630, for his Queen Mumtaz Mahal to enshrine her mortal remains, it is one of the seven modern wonders of the World. [The Taj is closed on every Friday].

Visit Itmad – Ud – Daula Tomb. Visit Agra Fort built by three Mughal Emperors starting from Akbar the Great in 1565 AD, which is a masterpiece of design and construction. Within the fort are a number of exquisite buildings including the Moti Masjid, Jahangir’s Palace, Khaas Mahal and the Sheesh Mahal, Diwane-i-Am, Diwane-i-Khas and Musamman Burj, where Emperor Shah Jahan, the fifth Mughal Emperor died a prisoner.

Day 4: Agra - via (245 kms/ 5 ½ hrs) After breakfast at hotel drive to Jaipur en route visit of Fatehpur Sikri – this exquisite city built by Akbar the Great in 1569, in red sandstone, with its forts, palaces and mosques was abandoned 14 years after its creation due to political reasons. contained all the major functions of the Palace, Pachisi court, the Emperors private living quarter, Jodha Bhai’s Palace, Mariam’s Palace, Birbal’s Palace, Hawa Mahal and Panch Mahal are some of the important buildings of this residential complex. The Friday Mosque and the exquisite tomb of Sheik Salim Chisti are in the religious grounds set aside in a separate enclosure adjacent to the secular buildings.

Continue drive to Jaipur.

Jaipur – the capital of is color washed pink – the color associated with hospitality in Rajput culture. This Pink City of fairy tale palaces, rugged fortresses perched on barren hills and broad avenues are picturesque. The first planned city of its time, a formidable wall encircles Jaipur.

Day 5: Jaipur full day tour Morning: enjoy your breakfast at the hotel

After breakfast you will proceed for the excursion to Amber Fort, here you will enjoy the Elephant Ride to reach atop of the palace. Continue your tour: with the city tour of Jaipur- visiting Maharaja’s City Palace, the former Royal residence, part of it converted into a museum. Later visit the Jantar Mantar, which is the largest stone and marble crafted observatory in the world, having 17 large instruments, many of them still in working condition. During the tour you will also have a brief photography stop at Hawa Mahal - the Palace of Winds.

Overnight in Jaipur

Day 6: Jaipur (255 Kms/ 5 ½ Hrs) – New Delhi – Amritsar (By train) Morning check-out and drive back to Delhi. Arrive Delhi & transfer back to New Delhi Railway Station to board the train to Amritsar. On arrival at Amritsar railway station, pick up and transfer to hotel. Overnight in Amritsar.

Day 7: Amritsar (Golden Temple, Jallianwala Bagh & Wagah Border Visit) After breakfast, visit the Golden Temple, also known as Harmandir Sahib. Although, it is a religious site for Sikh devotees, it is visited by people of all religions. Next in line is the well-known Jallianwala Bagh. This historical park is now a popular landmark of the city.

Evening visit to the Wagah Border. Every day, this place is visited by hundreds of peoples to witness the drills performed by both male and female soldiers during ‘Beating the Retreat’ ceremony. The whole atmosphere is filled with the feeling of nationalism and national songs of both countries are played on loud speakers. At the end of the ceremony, the flags of India and Pakistan are brought down. Later, return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 8: Amritsar – New Delhi Departure Early morning on time transfer to railway station to board train for New Delhi.
