VBCOA - VPMIA Plumbing, Mechanical, and Fuel Gas (PMG) Board Report

April, 2015

· The ICC Group B code change cycle is underway. The code change submission deadline was extended two days to January 14th, 2015. The code change monograph has been posted. · The last VBCOA - VPMIA PMG meeting was held on March 27th, 2015 from 10 am until 2:00pm at the Joyce Agency training facility. This meeting and second meeting below are being used to review and establish positions on all the applicable PMG code changes. At the first meeting we got thru all of the IMC changes and up to P-15 of the IPC changes and will attempt to cover the rest of the changes at the meeting below.

A second meeting has been scheduled for Wednesday April 8th from 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm at the VPMIA School of Instruction (SOI) in Front Royal, VA.

· The VBCOA -VPMIA PMG committee has also been asked to start thinking about any proposals for the creation of the 2015 VUSBC as development of this next version of the VUSBC is just around the corner.

VPMIA report for the VBCOA BOD meeting April 12th, 2015

· The last VPMIA BOD meeting was held on Friday February 20th, 2015 at the Louisa County building.

· The VPMIA Spring School of Instruction (SOI) will be held April 8th thru the 10th, 2015 at the Holiday Inn Front Royal, VA. The comprehensive by law revisions will be up for review at the upcoming membership meetings to be held at the SOI. These revisions and complete information on the SOI can be found on the website - www.vpmia.org

· The next VPMIA BOD meeting will be held on Friday April 10th, 2015 at the VPMIA SOI. Due to the limited available time between the VPMIA BOD on Friday and the VBCOA BOD meeting on Sunday I will supplement this report with any additional items at that meeting.

· VPMIA approved establishing a separate account for the 2018 ICC conference to be held in Richmond VA.

· Next VPMIA BOD meeting will be held June 12th, 2015 10:00am at the Louisa County Admin Building.

· VA Beach area for 2016 SOI.

ICC Region VII report for the VBCOA BOD meeting April 12th, 2015

· ICC Region VII held their last meeting on Monday March 30th & Tuesday March 31st at the Ramada Inn Hagerstown, MD.

· On Thursday March 30th proposed code changes were discussed for the upcoming 2015 group A cycle. Positions were taken on several proposed code changes. The code change spreadsheet has been posted on the ICC Region VII website. It is great to report that all of the States, Commonwealth’s and even the Districts of the Columbia were represented and were actively voting in the code change venue. This is the first time in many years that we had a contingent of Washington DC representatives who had voting privileges.

· On Friday March 31st the general business meeting was held. Several committees have been established and members from each State, Commonwealth, or the District of Columbia are being asked to represent their respective local.

· The next ICC Region VII meeting will either be held Friday June 19th at the Ramada Plaza Hagerstown 1718 Underpass Way Hagerstown MD 21740. This meeting will be held to discuss the outcome of the group A committee action hearings and to discuss any appropriate public comments that may wish to be submitted on behalf of ICC Region VII. The next meeting of ICC Region VII will be held Thursday August 13th and Friday August 14th, 2015. The Thursday meeting will be to interview prospective ICC BOD candidates. The Friday meeting will be the general business meeting.
