PARENT-TEACHER CONFERENCES
Dear Parents:
A child's progress in school can be influenced to a great extent by the effectiveness of the communication established and maintained between the school and the home. The mutual exchange of information and agreement upon education goals can help children make better use of all available learning opportunities. The following suggested questions are given as possible guidelines for parent-teacher conferences.
What is my child's progress in the basic skills?
Is my child demonstrating good habits of citizenship, such as:
§ ability to cooperate in class activities?
§ ability to accept responsibility?
§ showing respect and consideration for property and rights of others?
§ displaying courtesy at all times?
Are assignments completed, and on time?
How does my child get along with other children - with the teacher and other adults?
To maintain open communication, it is the policy of the Vacaville Unified School District to:
§ send out report cards at the end of each reporting period
§ conference with all parents at the end of the first reporting period
§ offer an optional conference at the end of the second reporting period

La eficiencia de la comunicación establecida entre la escuela y el hogar puede influir en gran parte el progreso de un niño en la escuela. El mutuo intercambio de información y acuerdo de las metas educativas pueden ayudar a los niños a utilizar todas las oportunidades disponible para aprender. Las siguientes preguntas son propuestas para que sirvan como una guía para encaminar las conferencias entre los padres y los maestros.

Para mantener la comunicación en marcha, es la póliza del Distrito Escolar Unificado de Vacaville de:
§ Mandar reportes de progreso al final de cada período de reporte.
§ Conferencia con todos los padres al final del segundo período de reporte.
§ Ofrecer una conferencia opcional al final del segundo período de reporte.
Si tiene algunas preguntas sobre el procedimiento de la conferencia, haga el favor de ponerse en contacto con la escuela de su niño.
