Trackside Ministry Strategies

A MINISTRY PROMO TEAM is a family committed to representing FCA MX at the motocross tracks through building a relationships with the track owner/staff and other families, available to hang promotional material in their pits and answer questions about the ministry.

What is the “win” of a Promo Team? To see how we can reach the motocross community for Jesus Christ. To do that we need to create a consistent presence at the track to get the word out. Camp promotions are a byproduct of trackside ministry if it’s done properly.

Who is qualified to be a Promo Team? A family that is committed to being consistently at a track, series or number of races so that people know who to reference. They are also FCA MX approved.

How will I be equipped to lead in FCA? Every year we set aside some of our camp funds to provide promotional product for teams throughout the year. FCA MX will try to provide you with materials for the track: table skirt, 8 ft flags, stickers, tshirts, brochures, Bibles and banners. You will need to use your own EZ up and 6ft table.

How do I get started? Prayerfully consider if God is calling you to be a promo team, contact the staff in the MX office, and fill out a Ministry Leader Application online at www.fcamx.com.

What are some best practices?

 Arrange for a chapel service  Make sure the huddle is doing a Bible study  Get familiar with our website to answer questions  Get to know the leaders of your state to refer people to the right person  Introduce yourself to the track owner ahead of time and let them know our intentions  Get a good parking spot to promote  Create opportunities to get on the microphone and talk about the ministry  Walk around the pits to hand out flyers and talk about the ministry  Give away creative prizes (i.e. holeshot awards)  Arrange a potluck dinner  Wear your FCA MX tshirts
