Then Sang Moses and the Children of Israel

Exodus 15:1-11

* The oldest recorded song is given here in this chapter. I believe that singing is vital to the Christian life. There ought to be a new song in your heart. Ps 40:3 “And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD.” I do not want to you to doubt your salvation, but if you are still singing the world’s music, you may want to do some reexamining. God’s people ought not be listening to and singing the rock, country, and contemporary garbage that this world has to offer. We see a great work done in the lives of the Israelites and immediately they begin to sing praise to God. I believe this ought to be the first response that every child of God should have. Imagine what the Israelites just went through. The plagues, the exodus, and now the deliverance across the Red Sea have given them freedom. Listen, this song was 430 years on the making. When was the last time you sang to God? Then Sang Moses and the Children of Israel.
