For comparison purposes, a faculty member who decides not to work for the entire 12 weeks might use her/his paid and unpaid leave as follows:

Wk1 / Wk2 / Wk3 / Wk4 / Wk5 / Wk6 / Wk7 / Wk8 / Wk9 / Wk10 / Wk11 / Wk12
PAID LEAVE / UNPAID LEAVE

A faculty member who decides to work half time for the entire 12 weeks might use her/his leave as follows:

Wk1 / Wk2 / Wk3 / Wk4 / Wk5 / Wk6 / Wk7 / Wk8 / Wk9 / Wk10 / Wk11 / Wk12
PAID LEAVE
Receive 50% of salary
WORK HALF-TIME
Reduced load duties (teaching/research/service) to be negotiated with chair/director.
Can include work from home as appropriate.

PAID LEAVE / UNPAID LEAVE
WORK 10 HOURS PER WEEK OR EQUIVALENT

Can include work from home as appropriate.

An employee who decides to work for 20 hours per week (or the equivalent) for the entire 12 weeks might use her/his leave as follows:

PAID LEAVE
