JOSTENS WILL BE HERE FRIDAY DURING LUNCHES GO GIVE YOU YOUR CLASS RING. IF YOU WERE ABSENT OR DID NOT PICK IT UP LAST TIME THEY WERE HERE, MAKE SURE YOU PICK IT UP ON FRIDAY. THEY WILL NOT LEAVE IT UNLESS IT IS PAID FOR SO MAKE SURE YOU PAY YOUR BALANCE DUE BY FRIDAY!!

PLAYING A SPORT NEXT YEAR?

WHY NOT COME OUT MONDAY, MAY 15 AND GET YOUR PHYSICAL HERE AT THE SCHOOL! COST IS $20 AND PHYSICAL NIGHT WILL RUN 5:30 – 8:00 pm. THIS PHYSICAL WILL BE GOOD FOR NEXT YEAR AND YOU WON’T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT IT LATER! FORMS ARE AVAILABLE IN THE OFFICE OR FROM MS. LOPEZ. IF YOU ARE UNDER 18 A PARENT HAS TO SIGN FOR YOU TO GET THE PHYSICAL SO MAKE SURE YOUR PARENT EITHER COMES WITH YOU OR YOU TAKE THE FORM HOME BEFORE PHYSICAL NIGHT AND HAVE YOUR PARENT SIGN IT.

EXAMS AND SOLS!!

AS WE NEAR THE END OF THIS SCHOOL YEAR, STUDENTS ARE REMINDED THAT YOU ARE REQUIRED TO STAY THE ENTIRE SOL/EXAM BLOCK. YOU MAY NOT LEAVE ONCE YOU ARE FINISHED AS THIS DISRUPTS THE ENTIRE CLASS. PLEASE MAKE YOUR PARENTS AWARE OF THIS IN CASE YOU HAVE A DOCTOR APT, ETC. YOU NEED TO BRING VERIFICATION OF THAT APPOINTMENT TO ONE OF THE PRINCIPALS FOR APPROVAL BEFORE THE TESTING TIME.

SENIORS WHO ARE EXEMPT FROM THEIR EXAMS WILL FINISH UP ON MAY 16. YOU ARE NOT TO COME ON MAY 17 & 18 AS OTHER STUDENTS WILL BE TESTING. THIS WILL NOT COUNT AGAINST YOUR ATTENDANCE AS YOU HAVE EARNED THE RIGHT NOT TO BE HERE.

May 23 Graduation at EMU 7 pm Students need to be there at 5:45 pm

1)  Seniors need to return your pink Parchment form ASAP. Transcripts will not be processed until those are turned in.

2)  All seniors in drama: In order to be included in the Senior Showcase, you need to get a form from Brooke Judkins ASAP.

STUDENTS:

1)  Anyone interested in running for Drama Class officer for next year, please pick up an application from Mrs. Bussey.

2)  NHS induction rehearsal will be Friday, May 12 during HR. ONLY NEW MEMBERS NEED TO ATTEND. Induction ceremony for NHS will be on Friday, May 12 at 2 pm.

3)  NHS Service hours need to be turned in by May 19 to Ms. Kim or Mrs. Amador

4)  If you want to do BEHIND THE Wheel driving now or this summer, see Coach Kirby, Coach Johnson or Coach Floyd. Summer spots are filling up fast.

5)  ALL Library books are due back to the Library by Monday, May 15 so check your cars, bookbags, under your beds, behind the sofa and anywhere else you might have left your library books!

6)  Would Christian Turner, Jacob Quick, Falon Smith, Xavier Gregoire, Micah Boothe, Katelyn Shirley, Rica Robles, Maggie Sorrells, & Tailor Pannell see Mrs Mikell sometime this week.

7)  The SDHS FFA Banquet will be heldthis Fridayat7pmat Stuarts Draft Elementary School in the cafeteria. Members are asked to sign up in the Ag department to let us know that they'll be attending and what side they'll be bringing to share. As usual, we are not charging for tickets since dinner will be a pot-luck style.

8)  Cross Country kids who sold popcorn need to see Mrs. Sprouse at the end of the day.

1)  CONGRATULATIONS to Matthew Gordon on finishing the regular boys tennis season 16-0 at number 1 singles and being the number 1 seed in the conference tournament. He along with Martin Leon and Tyler Kolaskie will attend the Singles/Doubles Conference tournament on Thursday and Friday. GOOD LUCK!!

2)  GOOD LUCK to JV Baseball and, JV Softball as they take on Page here at the Draft today and to Varsity Softball, Varsity Baseball and,Varsity Boys and Girls Soccer as they travel to Page

1)  Are you 16 to 18 years old and want to gain valuable work experience, learn new skills, earn money,and meet people? Then the Youth Corp Summer Employment Program may be for you! Applications are dueMay 12thand are available in the School Counseling office - please stop by if you'd like more information!

COLLEGE VISITS:

All college visits are held during Cougar Return and is open for all Juniors & Seniors. This is an excellent opportunity for all interested students to ask questions and learn more about the application process, student life, courses for students and much more!! This is also an excellent way to make the great first impression on the admissions counselors of the college you are interested in applying to.

Students must request a pass from Mrs. Halterman in the Counseling Office to attend the visit. Passes are to be requested the week prior to the visit and NO passes will be issued the day of the visit.

UPCOMING VISITS – OPEN TO JUNIORS AND SENIORS:

DETENTION Begins at 3:20 and runs until 4:00 pm No Detention on Mondays and Fridays.

1)  Detention will be with Mrs. Crittenden in Room 70 today and with Mr. Cash in the Library on Wednesday and Thursday.
