  • Research scholarship changing to just a general school scholarship for a Psychology major
  • Provide a scholarship for a student who is a Psychology major
  • General School Scholarship as opposed to Research Scholarship because there are not enough Psychology students involved in research
  • Open to all Psychology majors
  • Total scholarship amount- $300.00 with proof of receipts (bookstore, parking pass, tuition, etc.) Students using money toward research conferences must have receipts of hotel, flights, etc.
  • Possible requirements: Psychology Major, Overall 2.5 GPA, Upper Division 3.0 GPA, 1 letter of recommendation from a CSUDH faculty member, and a personal statement
  • Anyone can apply, but if you apply, you cannot be on the judging panel.

  • Agreed to order this- $54 cost, takes two days
  • Research and graduate school
  • Approach professors, e-mail them or go to office hours, they are friendly and want to help you
  • You do not want to be left without any preparation for graduate school in your senior year. Think ahead- find what schools you are interested in applying to and look over their admission statistics and professor’s research interests.
  • Update on T-shirts
  • Members who have not turned in size request:Order will be submitted tonight! ANY LATE REQUEST FOR T-SHIRTS WILL be $15+
  • Dates to wear shirts-11/10, 11/17, 12/1 as well as any club events, fundraisers, etc.
  • Remember when wearing your shirts, you are representing our club as a whole.

  • Decide who will be in charge of each project as well as what team members will be helping by providing a list of names/emails. I will ask that you check in/update me on what progress you have made in the weeks to come.

  • Upcoming events:
  • November 17th from 4-5pm. Breaking the Silence: A Workshop in Domestic Violence. This workshop addresses the widespread issue of domestic violence. It covers the different types of abuse, healthy relationships, recognizing the signs of abuse, how to get help, the effects of domestic violence on victims, including children and teen dating violence. Let me know if you need more information.
