PLTC 2016 ANNUAL TOURNAMENT RULES

  • All matches must be completed by the date shown at the top of each round
  • If matches are NOT completed by the date the outcome will be decided by the tournament referee on the spin of a coin – NO EXCEPTIONS THIS YEAR as the time between rounds can be tight
  • All matches are best of 3 sets, the first two being tie-break sets (at 6 all) andthe third set being a championship tie-break (first to 10 points with 2 points clear)
  • Players provide their own balls and floodlight tokens, if needed
  • The court surface must be agreed BEFORE booking a court, only one court can be booked for each match. If there is a difference of opinion on court surface it should be decided by a spin of a coin BEFORE BOOKING
  • There are no extended sessions allowed for tournament matches, you can only book the normal 90 minute session. If a match cannot be concluded in that time you must book another session to finish but the match must be concluded by the date indicated for that round
  • If you suggest 3 dates to your opponent and all are turned down please let the tournament referee know as this may have a bearing in deciding the outcome if the match is not played within the date allowed.
  • Please write the match winner(s) name on the next round on the sheet
  • CONTACT DETAILS for all players are on the PLTC online system
  • All finals will be played on the clay courts
  • The finals days are:
  • Veterans: - Saturday 30 July 2016
  • Main Tournament: - Saturday 10 September 2016
  • The tournament referee is RICHARD LAW and all final decisions are his
