Organisation Description

SPEAK is a national network of students and young adults who campaign and pray on issues of global justice. We are a campaign and activist company, charity and participatory network that aims to bring change and share our faith in God. Since 1998, our primary goal has been to tactically address the root of global problems which threaten human rights and human dignity. SPEAK has campaigned against the arms trade, climate change, corporate responsibility, famine and much more. By educating the public on such issues and empowering them to create a voice for those who are vulnerable in these unfortunate situations, we are able to manifest our goals for global peace and take steps to ensure that it becomes a reality.

Our core values are based on a Christian perspective in the sense that we practice the teachings of Christ and believe in justice for the poor, for those who are defenseless, and those who may not have the resources to take a stand against oppression and subjugation. We therefore take it upon ourselves to make sure that information is effectively distributed amongst the nation

We aim to inform people throughout the UK about global social injustices, and empower them to bring positive change through involvement in grass-roots community, campaigning, activism and the arts. We do this through activity centred mail outs, social media, events and regional SPEAK groups.
