MINUTES FROM LAST MEETING

1. Courses, Students, Course Syllabi and Outcomes

  • New Student Online Orientations must be completed by new students prior to 11th day reporting.
  • Update Syllabi
  • Link Outcomes to Assignments
  • Online Courses need to require students to take the Online Course Orientation. Go to roster andenroll the ones that have a red line in the orientation box. Please make this a graded assignment for completion.
  • Include information on Tutoring available through Student Success and Trio on Syllabus.
  • Online Proctoring Schedule (Brad Hollaway)

2. Advisory Council (Future)

Set up Meeting Time and Reserve Rooms (Use new Café in Student Center if possible 11-1 Mon-Thurs).

Prepare list of business people to invite. (Stephen)

Get recommendations from: BT Faculty, Suellen Davidson, Jason Lawrence, and Site directors.

Ask them to provide Name, address, e-mail address, telephone, and Job Title.

Prepare and post agenda and minutes to Black Box

3. PROGRAM BUILDING AND RECRUITING

Handle advertising campaign with Manda

The continuation of any program requires students. Visit Local Schools, etc. Can arrange with Dylan.

Contact all new advisees as soon as you get the notice that they have been assigned to you.

Brochures, Flyers, Facebook, radio Spots, News Releases.

4. Schedule and Office Hours

32 hours on campus. Office Hours, plus course time, plus ½ hour lunch for Monday-Thursday. 4 hours on Friday.

CONTACT ALL NEW ADVISEES as soon as you receive the notice that they have been assigned to you.

Use Pathways on My Ozarka to set up a pathway to graduation for every advisee.

Advisee Contact

  • Remind to register—Use group mail out option on Advisee List
  • Remind of importance of making a C in College Success and English Courses—send around 5 weeks into semester and mid-term.
  • Check grades at mid-term and evaluate and contact students.

7. Notifications

Early Alerts—after 11th day census. Follow up.

11th Day Enrollment - September 3, 2014

Withdrawal Requests are done by student on their My Ozarka Page.

8. Program Assessment, Certifications, etc.

9. Faculty Evaluations due to me by February 15.

Course classroom Observations will also be done.
