Good evening Titans, this is Dr. Crowther with announcements for the week of January 16, 2017.

Our top four finishers will move onto compete in the Glendale Unified School District Spelling Bee this Thursday, January 19 at the Board of Education. Good luck to them all!

Thursday is also the start to the winter sports’ season as Toll will host the Wilson Knights in both football and volleyball action. Come out and support the Titans, games start at 3:30 p.m.

Saturday, January 21 Clark Magnet High School invites students and parents to an Expo and to attend a prospective parent meeting at Clark from 9:30-11:00 a.m. and 11:00 a,m, to 1:00 p.m. The campus is located at 4747 New York Avenue in La Crescenta.

In the coming weeks GUSD is conducting two important student surveys to measure our school climate and student satisfaction. We ask that you make every effort to complete them. First, the 2016-2017 School Culture Survey gathers students' opinions about safety, academics, and culture on our campus and in our district. Also, the lunch satisfaction survey measures student satisfaction with our school nutrition program. We look forward to sharing the results of these surveys with you later this spring!

Finally, a reminder that there is no school on Monday, January 16 as the district is closed in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. We will resume school as scheduled on Tuesday. This completes the announcements for the week. Enjoy your evening and your long weekend.
