Committee Members Absent: None

Council Members Present: Bill Hanebutt, David Friess, Clarence Nail

Council Members Absent: None

Others Present: Mayor Tim Lowry, Attorney Paul Ray, City Superintendent Josh Eckart, Code Administrator Jeff Mueller, Police Chief John Brittingham, Administrative Assistant Pam Poetker, City Clerk Joanne Cowell

Committee Chairman Thompson called the meeting to order at 7:37 P.M.

Old Business

I. 150th Year Celebration in 2017 Update

Matt Mollet will be presenting a check to the committee for the 150 wine that has been sold to date. The committee is reworking some of their plans for the celebration. They are planning on having the events at Lincoln Park, instead of at RBHS.

New Business

I.  Approval of Prior Month’s Meeting Minutes – Meeting May 26, 2016

Recommendation made by Committee Chairman Thompson, seconded by Committee Member Reed, to approve the minutes from the May 26, 2016 meeting. Carried

II. Request from the Chamber of Commerce to Use City Parking Lot for Moonlight Madness

Recommendation made by Committee Chairman Thompson, seconded by Committee Member Linnertz, to approve the request from the Chamber of Commerce to use the city parking lots behind city hall and next to Sporto’s for an overflow car show for the Moonlight Madness on July 30, 2016, from 12:00 -4:00 P.M. Carried

III. Public Comments/Anything for the Good of the City

Alderman Nail requested that the Mayor sign and read a proclamation at the VFW’s 70th Anniversary on Saturday, July 16, 2016, naming Red Bud as a Purple Heart City in respect of the wounded and lost veterans. The Mayor agreed.
