This report provides an assessment of both the operational and construction noise and vibration effects of the project. New Zealand Standard 6806:2010 is an industry accepted benchmark for assessment of reasonable effects under Section 16 of the Resource Management Act 1991 (RMA). Therefore, assessment of road traffic noise in accordance with the standard represents the Best Practicable Option (BPO) for assessing operational road traffic noise and has been applied to the Project. Computational noise modelling for the existing and proposed road alignment has been conducted to predict road traffic noise emissions to the surrounding environment. An assessment of the results has been undertaken in accordance with NZS6806:2010.
