(‘the Client) to prepare a cultural heritage desk-based assessment (DBA) in support of a development consent order application for the demolition of existing buildings and the construction of Waste-to-Energy (WtE) facility north of the village of Barton Stacey, Hampshire (hereafter referred to as the ‘Site’). The requirement of this assessment is to identify, map, and assess the significance of all designated and non- designated heritage assets that are present within the Site, and to determine the potential for the presence of as yet unknown heritage remains. The assessment also identifies heritage assets beyond the Site and assesses the potential for their settings to change as a result of the scheme. The baseline conditions presented in this document provide the evidence base for the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and therefore provide the evidence to inform decisions in relation to avoiding, minimising and/or mitigating the impact to both the known and potential cultural
