Suspects parked their To: 08/30/2018 wire then climbed vehicle next to the wall of business on Sherman St. 12:23am over the wall to across from Apartment Complex. Suspects cut strands enter parking lot. of barb-wire then climbed over the wall to enter Cut padlock on parking lot. Suspects attacked a locked metal storage storage container. container and cut padlock from latch. Suspects also entered enclosed metal container beds from several tree service trucks. Suspects stole several items and left scene. Suspects are observed coming back at approx. 12:18am and stealing more items. Items Stolen 1. Chainsaws of different sizes. 2. Pole Saws. 3. Backpack Blowers. 4. Generator. Tips: ❖ Do not display valuable items in windows when closed for business ❖ Contact the Southfield Police Crime Prevention Bureau for a free security inspection (248) 796-5409 Home Invasion: Date/Time Address (block range) Method of Entry Description/Suspect Information 08/29/2018 23000 Lahser Rd. Suspect Officers were dispatched to the 23000 Block of Lahser 2:22pm (Residential- Condo’s) attempted to kick Rd. (Condo’s) on a report of a Home Invasion in the front door progress. The r/p stated that a black male with no shirt open. kicked in the door and fled on foot. R/P advised that the black male with no shirt was accompanied by another male. Upon arrival, officers discovered damage to the front door and a perimeter was set up for a K-9 unit. A K-9 track was initiated with negative results. The suspects did not make entry into the residence. R/P stated the heavy male kicked the door while the thin male acted as a look out. Once the door was kicked, R/P screamed and the males took off on foot in an unknown direction. Suspect #1 Heavy Set Dark Skin Black Male (Heavier than 250 lbs.) Approximately 6'1 to 6'2 Approximately in his 20s. Curly Afro No Shirt Suspect #2 Thin Brown Skin Black male Approximately 5'8 Approximately 17 to 20 years of age. Grey Hoodie, Blue Jeans 08/28/2018 22000 Civic Center Dr. Attempted entry Victim states sometime between 1:00pm- 9:30pm 10:05pm (Residential- Apartments) through attic someone attempted entry into her apartment through access door. the attic access door which is above the wash room. The door was pushed in but was still attached to the ceiling, no tool marks were visible. No items were reported missing from the home. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Citizens that live in complexes where units are connected and share a common roof with attic space should be certain to secure their access panel to the attic area. S – Stolen Officers were dispatched to a Home Invasion of a 6:00pm A/C Unit, Furnace, vacant (For Sale) house. The incident occurred To: 08/28/2018 Hot Water Heater between 6:00pm on 8/27/2018, and 3:00pm on 3:00pm 8/28/2018. Entry was gained into the home by breaking open the lock box to get the house key. The AC Unit, Furnace & Hot Water Heater were taken. He last saw the money Undisclosed amount of To: 08/29/2018 cash that was in on 08/28/2018 at approx. 8:30am. He noticed it 8:15am envelope. missing on 08/29/2018 at approx. 8:15am. He noticed it missing LINCOLN Model around 6:00am. No suspect info. NAVIGATOR Color DGR - Dark Green Vehicle Year 1999 Body Style 4D - 4 Door State MI License Year 2017 Status 09/01/2018 20000 Westover Ave. S - Stolen Victim stated he was at work when he received a 4:45pm Manufacturer phone call from his friend advising he was in the PONTIAC Model area of 8 Mile & Evergreen Rd. and observed Grand Prix Color victims Red 1968 Pontiac GTO (no license plate) MAR - Maroon or on a trailer, E/B Eight Mile at Evergreen. Burgundy The trailer was being pulled by a White Pick Up Vehicle Year 1978 Truck. Witness was unable to see a license plate Body Style 2D - 2 Door or a company name on the truck. State Victim left work and made the residence on MI License Year Westover where he discovered his GTO and his 2019 Description Burgundy 1978 Pontiac Grand Prix were missing Burgundy 1978 Pontiac from the back yard. Model GTO License No. None Color RED - Red Vehicle Year Body Style State 1968 2D - 2 Door MI None Description Red 1968 Pontiac GTO Tips: ❖ Never leave your vehicle running unattended ❖ Park in areas where your vehicle is viewable if possible ❖ Use commercially available security devices Larceny: Date/Time Address (block range) Item Taken Details From: 08/24/2018 25000 W Twelve Mile Catalytic Converter was Victim states the catalytic converter was stolen 3:30pm ( Residential - Apartments) taken from victims 2004 from her 2004 Buick Rendezvous between To: 08/25/2018 Buick Rendezvous. 3:30pm and the following day at 2:00pm. 2:00pm From: 08/27/2018 23000 Providence Dr. Attempt only to take Victim states that someone attempted to steal 11:00pm ( Residential - Apartments) Wheels & Tires from 2015 the rims and tires off his 2015 Challenger. He To: 08/28/2018 Dodge Challenger. received a notification on his phone from his car 9:00am security system. Upon checking the car, he found that all the lug nuts had been removed and laying on the ground. Nothing missing from the vehicle. No suspect information. From: 08/23/2018 21000 Hidden Rivers All Four Wheels & Tires Victim stated that someone stole All 4 Wheels & 6:00pm ( Residential - Condo’s) were taken from 2016 Tires off his 2016 Ford Explorer. To: 08/24/2018 Ford Explorer. No suspect info available. 5:30am 08/29/2018 15000 W Nine Mile Spare key was taken from Victim stated that an employee of the restaurant 3:00pm (Commercial- Restaurant) victims 2007 Cadillac. informed him that someone was inside of his 2007 Cadillac. The victim entered the parking lot and confronted the suspect.
