So in 2013, my friend Jon Dando and I partnered to launch a growth strategy for Crawlspace Medic with a vision to become the Nations most recognized and trusted crawl space repair brand. In 2016 we extended this vision to the world of franchising, offering our approach to prospective Franchisees. Through streamlined focus, unmatched dedication to customer service, and by treating our team members like family, we have been able to successfully grow Crawlspace Medic into multiple locations. While working in the termite industry, building custom properties, and renovating old and new homes, we discovered that there was no one tending specifically to crawlspaces. Since we were already using our expertise and knowledge to save the city’s oldest dwellings from ruin, why wouldn’t we use it to prevent damage in the first place? This idea was further inspired by the continuous feedback we were receiving from our customers who wish that there had been a service that could have helped prevent their problems in the first place. So, it was from this, combined with a shared belief that the space under homes deserves more attention than an annual inspection for bugs, that the idea for Crawlspace Medic was born. When we started toying with the idea of creating Crawlspace Medic, some of our contemporaries in the real estate industry mentioned that they were in need of licensed contractors for specific repairs during their closings. These repairs typically consisted of high moisture, water, or termites under the home that needed to be fixed before the property sale could be completed. Initially, we decided to offer this service as an add on to a custom home building business, The Wilson Company. Once we realized how under served this market was, however, we decided to morph into our own company! In 2013, we officially launched Crawlspace Medic and actively started to build the business and our brand. The following year, we introduced the concept in the Char- lotte, North Carolina market and celebrated immediate success. Not only could we cater to homeowners looking to protect their largest investment, but we were also educating and helping real estate agents, home buyers, and home sellers complete their transactions seamlessly. After seeing the success of the business, we decided to start offering franchise opportunities and awarded our first location in December of 2017. We recently awarded our second territory in June 2018 and are set to open two more locations by summer 2019. We have spent the last two years perfecting our franchise support systems and infrastructure and, with the success of our first two Franchise Partners, we are now ready to grant more franchise territories in select markets.
