Legislation GovernmEnt Bill - IntroducED, ConsiderED and PasseD THE West BEngal University Laws (AmEndment) Bill, 2019 The Bill was introduced by the Minister-in-Charge of the Higher Education Department and a statement was placed as required under rule 72(1) of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the West Bengal Legislative Assembly. Shri Nepal Mahata and Dr. Sujan Chakraborty separately moved the following Statutory Resolution in pursuance of Article 213(2)(a) of the Constitution ofIndia: "This House disapproves the West Bengal University Laws (Amendment) Ordinance, 2019. (West Bengal Ordinance No. Iof2019)." The Minister-in-Charge ofthe Higher Education Department moved that the Bill be taken into consideration.
