There is easy access to the countryside with wonderful local walks, opportunities for cycling (including a Sustrans route through the town) and horse riding. There are several local leisure centres. There is good basic shopping in the town and several interesting smaller shops and cafes. Chippenham, Devizes and Marlborough also have good shopping centres and Bath and Swindon are within easy reach. 05 Parish of Calne and Blackland Profile 2016 The Schools within the community and over the years have offered active support when needed (e.g. Cruse, MIND etc).
