Luiz Caracol Luiz Caracol is a singer-songwriter, guitarist and bassist based in Lisbon, Portugal. Just before his birth, his parents moved from Angola to the south of Portugal, settling in an African, Brazilian and Portuguese community. This artistically rich and diverse environment had a formative influence on Luiz, and his music expresses his mestiçaidentity and multi-cultural life experiences. Over the past twenty years, Luiz has built a substantial recording and performing career, working with top Lusophone artists including Sara Tavares, Jorge Palma, Pierre Aderne, Aline Frazão, Susana Travassos, Manecas Costa, Fernanda Abreu, Uxia and Tito Paris. In 2011, he was featured in the documentary “MPB: Música Portuguesa Brasileira” (MPB – Portuguese Brazilian Music) broadcast by Portuguese National Television and Brazil's Globo television network.In 2013, Luiz released his first solo album Devagar (Slowly) to critical acclaim. Upon it's release, Devagar remained the top selling album at FNAC Portugal for over a month. The record includes special guest appearances by Portuguese artists Fernanda Abreu, Valete and Sara Tavares.Since the release of Devagar, Luiz has been performing his songs throughout in Portugal, Brazil, Europe, Africa. Born in Angola and raised in Angola, Brazil and Portugal, also lived in Australia and the US. Ruca's strongest inspirations come from Southern Africa, the mediterranean, Brazil and Cuba. Ruca has recorded and/or played with enormously talented artists such as Sadao Watanabe, Alejandro Sanz, Rão Kyao, Madredeus, Teresa Salgueiro, Paulo de Carvalho, António Chainho, Melody Gardot, Ivan Linz, Martinho da Vila, Fafá de Belém and Toquinho among other important worldwide known musicians. He is a member and founder of several bands: Palmares, A Fúria do Acúçar, N'Goma Makamba and Couple Coffee, and he has performed all over the world in the best theatres and stages of different world capitals. Ruca now lives between Portugal and Maine, and is currently preparing his solo album in collaboration with good friends, all of them extraordinary musicians. http://www.rucarebordao.com/ Gustavo Roriz Brazilian-born Gustavo Roriz is a multi-instrumentalist whose 20-year professional career developed around his unique and particular way to play the bass and contrabass. Gustavo now performs and composes using a variety of different techniques and instruments. His current passion is the viola caipira, a Brazilian “country guitar.” Gustavo has worked with artists including Taïs Reganelli, Pablo Lapidusas, Grupo Bons Tempos, Paulo de Carvalho, Fernando Girão, Jorge Fernando, Raquel Tavares and Fernando Tordo. He has also been an integral member of the bands Ciganos d'Ouro and the well known Portuguese group Madredeus. Gustavo has performed in Argentina, Spain, Brazil, The United States (Carnegie Hall) and more. He has lived in Portugal since 2004. https://www.facebook.com/ponteando Eleanor Dubinsky Eleanor Dubinsky is a New York City based singer-songwriter, cellist, guitarist, dancer and performance artist. She writes original songs combining melodic, soothing vocals with poly-rhythmic grooves from Brazil, Latin America and West Africa. Eleanor's artistic training began with classical cello study at the age of three. She sings in English, French, Spanish and Portuguese and has spent fertile creative time in France, Czech Republic, Argentina, Uruguay, Portugal, Senegal and Cape Verde. Eleanor has released two CDs to date, Touch The Sky (2011) and Listen To The Music (2012), as well as single recordings from bossa-flavored French classics to group compositions with jazz and world musicians. Eleanor's songs have been featured on MTV, Lifetime and Animal Planet, ads for American Express, radio stations throughout Mexico and NPR, and her song, “Wait For You” won the Sennheiser recording contest at the 2012 ASCAP EXPO. Eleanor performs regularly in New York City and tours nationally and internationally. In 2014 she had the pleasure of touring with Gustavo Roriz in Portugal.
