Zoey’s birth date 12/12/12 will be one that her family and friends will always remember but for Anne and husband Patrick it is particularly significant. Last year they became parents to baby Lucy after Anne was one of the first women in Europe to have been assisted in a successful pregnancy as a result of a procedure carried out by robotic surgery before pregnancy at CUMH. This was a wonderful opportunity to honour Grandparents and highlight the importance of their position in the family and also in the wider community. Grandparents, parents, close family friends and relations joined the teachers and pupils at St Lachteen's church for a mass to honour grandparents. Fr. O' Riordan celebrated the mass and spoke about the very special relationship between grandparents and their grandchildren. Deceased grandparents of pupils were also remembered in a special way. Afterwards the grandparents and parents were invited to the school hall for refreshments. It was fantastic to see the grandparents of pupils sitting together chatting about their precious grandchildren.
