A decade ago, on 1 April 2009, in Fiesole, in the Provincial Infirmary of the Friars Minor of Tuscany, there died Cardinal Umberto Betti, whose bibliography is presented here. Having earned at the Antonianum the Doctorate of Theology (1951), in 1964 he became a full professor in the Theology Faculty, and was its Dean from 1966 to 1969. Later, from 1975 to 1978, he was the Rector Magnificus of the Anto- nianum. He took part in the work of the Second Vatican Council: From 1961 as Con- sultor of the Theological Commission, from October 1962 as the Personal Theologian of Cardinal Ermenegildo Florit, and from 1963 as Conciliar Expert. He was, too, the Rector of the Pontifical Lateran University (1991-1995). In 1995, in recognition of his merits in the service of the Holy See (Consultor of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, of the Congregation for Bishops, and of the Secretariat of State), he re- ceived the Cross pro Ecclesia et Pontifice from St. John Paul II. In the Consistory of 24 November 2007, he was created a Cardinal by Pope Benedict XVI, with the Diaconal Title of Sts. Vitus, Modestus and Crescentia. Resumen. Hace diez años, el 1º de abril del 2009, moría en Fiésole, en la enfermería Provincial de los Frailes Menores de la Toscana, el Cardenal Humberto Betti, del cual se presenta aquí la Bibliografía. Doctor en Teología en nuestro Ateneo (1951), llega a ser Profesor Ordinario de la Facultad de Teología en 1964, como Decano desde 1966 a 1969 y Rector Magnífico del Antonianum desde 1975 a 1978. Ha participado a los trabajos del Concilio Vaticano II: desde 1961 como Consultor de la Comisión Teológ- ica, desde octubre de 1962 como Teólogo Personal del cardenal Hermeregildo Florit y desde 1963 como Perito Conciliar. Desde 1991 a 1995 ha sido también Rector de la Pontificia Universidad Lateranense. Por sus méritos en el servicio a la Santa Sede (Consultor en Dicasterios: Doctrina de la Fe, de los Obispos y Secretaría de Stato) en 1995 ha recibido del Santo padre San Juan Pablo II la Cruz pro Ecclesia et Pontifice y el Papa Benedicto XVI en el Consistorio del 24 noviembre 2007 lo ha creado Cardenal con el título diaconal de los Santos, Vito, Modesto y Crescencia. Al termine del suo mandato di Rettore della Pontificia Università Lateranense vi è stato il 28 novembre 1995 un solenne atto accademi- co in onore del padre Umberto Betti (1922-2009).
