This match is a repeat of the 2008 play off for 9th place, when Ireland beat Scotland 39-12. Only New Zealand have a higher second half percentage. • Conceded 25 tries in 14 matches played, the second lowest of all teams competing in this year’s tournament behind New Zealand with 10. • 80% of tries scored against Ireland have been converted (20 out of 25), a higher percentage than against any other team along with New Zealand (8 out of 10). • Only scored 40.8% of their points in the first half of matches, the second lowest percentage of the 12 teams competing after New Zealand. • Not scored any drop goals in competition history.
