RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, That this resolution may be cited as the “Commission on Asian and Pacific Islander Community Development John Tinpe Confirmation Resolution of 2021”. Sec. 2. The Council of the District of Columbia confirms the reappointment of: Mr. John Tinpe 7th Street, NW Washington, DC 20001 (Ward 2) as a public voting member of the Commission on Asian and Pacific Islander Community Development, established by section 305 of the Fiscal Year 2002 Budget Support Act of 2001, 30 effective October 3, 2001 (D.C. In the past, he has held Board member positions as Director of Chinatown Cultural Center, President of Chi-Am Lions Club, Board member of | AQUA, and Board member of the Miss DC/American Pageant. Mr. Tinpe previously served as an Advisory Neighborhood Commissioner for Ward 2. He was responsible for a wide range of policies and programs affecting the neighborhood. Mr. Tinpe also owned and operated Burma restaurant, which was located in DC's Chinatown neighborhood. A Ward 2 resident, Mr. Tinpe received a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Bucknell University.
