Born at Albany, N. Y., Febru- ary 7, 1882. Member of Chi Psi Fraternity ; Casque and Dagger ; class baseball team ; was Class Historian, Freshman year ; Associate Editor of the Targum; member of committee for Sophomore Hop; Editor-in-Cliief of the Targum, 1904. After graduation became interested for a short time in the local agency for Allen's Kushion Komfort Shoe, having head- quarters at 39 Church street. In November, 1905, he became assistant manager of the New Brunswick Daily Times. In 1906 he opened a job printing office at 126 Albany street, New Brunswick, N. J., with Mr. Gowen as a partner. After being engaged as a reporter on Commerce and Finance, a State banking paper, established in Newark about 1905, he became editor of the paper, succeeding Lafayette Parks, 1907. For the last five years he has been the editor of the Independent Press, a newspaper published in Bloomfield, N. J. Won the following prizes in his Freshman year : Tunis Quick English Grammar and Spelling Prize; Second Sloan Classical Entrance Examination Prize; two Honorable Mentions for work done and exami- nations passed in Greek and Latin. Won the Bradley Prize in Roman Law both in his Junior and Senior years ; took first Classical Honor, Senior year ; and won the Brodhead Classical Prize ; Classical Prize in Logic ; and the Second Appleton Memorial Prize in Moral Philosophy. After graduation he became an instructor in the Flushing Collegiate School, 1905. Married Miss Bessie Kitchenmeister on Tuesday evening, July 9, 1907, at Highland Park, New Brunswick, N. J. At that time he was connected with the National City Bank, 52 Wall street. New York City, in the Foreign Exchange Department. For a number of years he has been with Messrs. Price, Waterhouse & Company, auditors, London and New York, for M'hom he has spent the last tv.'O years in London, Paris and Petrograd. He is now in Petrograd.
