Monday, April 18, 7 pm Tue, May 10 Free Admission In 1957, a partnership between The Metropolitan Museum of Art of New York and The Prado Museum of Madrid led to a historic art exchange. The apse of the Romanic church of Saint Martin in Segovia Spain was exchanged for a series of paintings from the San Baudelio de Berlanga church in Soria. Stone by stone, the apse of the Church of San Martin was taken down and packaged. Two Hundred and four tons of stone where stored in boxes and shipped on a boat from the port of Bilbao to New York City.
