She was selected as a finalist for the Archibald Award in 2011 with a self portrait. Curator Angela D’Elia said the two things that immediately strike the viewer of Pam Tippett’s art works are that she is a perfectionist and she has the enviable skill to satisfy her perfectionism. Along with the many still lifes in this exhibition are also a number of self portraits, interiors, drawings and nudes. The drawings show Tippett’s excellent skills as a draftsman - the light-filled rooms of her interiors have attractive details and colour schemes.
