Kishan Kumar Phone No: 9100956363 Officer on Special Duty E-mail: [email protected] The First College of Fishery Science in Telangana state was established as per G.O.Ms.No.2 dated:11.01.2017 of Sspecial Chief Secretary to Government, Animal Husbandry Dairy Development & Fisheries, Government of Telangana and inaugurated on 4th December, 2017 at Pebbair, Wanaparthy district under this P. V. Narasimha Rao Telangana Veterinary University. The College offers Bachelor of Fishery Science (B.F.Sc.), professional degree programme in 8 semesters (4 Academic years). Presently, the intake capacity for under-graduation (UG) Course is 25 students per year. Objectives • To promote a greater understanding of the biological, technical and economic importance of fisheries and related areas. • To encourage students to explore the subject by specializing in fisheries and further studies. • To undertake the extension activities to benefit fish farmers of Telangana state by socio economic upliftment and also to transfer of technology to industry. • To promote field and lab oriented research to tackle the emerging problems in fisheries and industry development. Admissions: Admissions are made on the basis of ranks obtained in the EAMCET (Biological science, Physics and Chemistry stream) examination for which the students, who have completed their 10+2 examination, are eligible. For this course the students of biological science stream are eligible. The 25%, out of the total seats of 25, (6 seats) students are admitted under Farmer’s quota.
