It turned out that the original description should be emended only with respect to the dimensions of the shell (height 4.8 to 6.2 mm; width 1.9 to 2.25 mm). Apparently, H. malagana is rather uniform conchologically. Some of the new records have been published already by Escola & Bech (1986: 89). Jaen, 7 km SSE of Cazorla near the spring of the Guadalquivir, WG08 (RMNH/1). Valencia: Serra de Porta-Coeli, Avenc Garbf, YJ1290 (MZB/1). The species was originally described from the province of Malaga only: UF15, 34, 48 & 65 (Gittenberger, 1983: 306). I would like to thank both Dr. O. Escola (Barcelona) and Mr. H. B.
