Celebrating 100 years of God’s Faithfulness at the HCS AUCTION 2018 SATURDAY, MARCH 3 THE PARTY OF THE CENTURY! Begins at 4:30pm 4:30pm—6:30pm Begins at 6:00pm Welcome to The Party of the Century! We are thrilled to Celebrate 100 Years of God’s Faithfulness with you tonight! Consider this book as your itinerary for the evening, filled with all the details to help you have a wonderful time while supporting HCS! Use the color-coded pages in the book to coordinate with our Silent Auction tables, and the white pages showcase our Live Auction items. If this book came home with your HCS student, please bring it with you to use at the Auction, or return it to school if you are unable to attend so it can be reused. Our theme this year is The Party of the Century, which is honoring HCS’s 100 year celebrations that are happening throughout the school year. HCS’ theme, Telling The Story, is based on Psalm 26:2-3, which says “Lord, examine my heart and my mind; for I have always been mindful of your unfailing love and have lived in reliance on your faithfulness.” How wonderful to be able to revel in these words and rejoice in God’s unfailing love for all of us! The contributions raised tonight directly support Christian education at HCS through the Parents’ Club. They distribute these funds to help students with field trip expenses, various uniforms, library funds, teacher wish lists and tuition stabilization. If you have further questions about this fundraiser or would like to help in the future, please connect with any member of the Auction Committee. Thank you for your support and prayers for this event at HCS! We hope you enjoy! 2018 Hudsonville Christian Auction Committee Katie Fischer, Amy Flietstra, Darrell Heuker, Tami Herweyer, Steve Herweyer, Kristin Meldrim, Ben Scholten, Dan VanderVeen, and Mike Wigger Orange Live Stage Green Silent Silent Pink Tan Silent Silent Seating Yellow Blue Silent Silent Check In/ Buy- Teacher Party Out A- Donations Lines Pastries Wing Doozy Lobby Meal Served 4:30-6:30pm 1 Auction Bucks are back! Thanks so much, gentlemen! 2 Please check in at the tables on the west side of the Gym. Grab your Bidder Number and get ready to have a fabulous time! Step 1: Get your invoice from the Cashiers at the Check Out Table in the Gym. Please allow a few minutes after your final purchase before getting your invoice, which will summarize your purchases for the evening. If you believe you are missing items from the invoice, please let the cashiers know. If any items are missed, you will receive a separate invoice for the additional items. Step 2: Consider Rounding Up! You may choose to round up in any denomination, just mention it to your cashier. Proceeds for additional round-up donations will go towards Barnabas Ministries in their work with high-risk youth and families in our area. Students from the Middle School will be on hand to talk about how they have been involved with Barnabas Ministries this year! Step 3: Pay for your purchases. Please pay for your purchases in full on Auction night. Cash, check, and credit cards will be accepted. We do encourage cash or check, as we will pay a small (2.5%) fee for every credit card transaction. There will be no exchanges or refunds; all sales are final. Per IRS regulations, you may only claim a tax deduction on the portion of the purchase that exceeds the fair market value of the item. Items listed as Priceless are 100% charitable contributions. Per Revenue Ruling 67-246, amounts paid for chances to participate in the drawings (Buy-a-Lines, Teacher Raffles) are not eligible as tax deductions. Step 4: Pick Up Certificates and Items Gift certificates and cards can be picked up at the Check Out tables. Please take home the items you have won on the night of the Auction; if you are unable to do so, please make arrangements with an Auction Committee Member prior to your departure. We are so thankful for the support of local businesses! Because of their generosity, we have been able to cover operating costs and purchase some items that have rounded out our Auction selections tonight. You can see their advertisements in this booklet, as well as their names on the projector in the Gym prior to Live Auction, and on the screens near Check Out. We encourage you to check out the last pages of this book for a full list of donors and businesses, and consider thank- ing them in the future with your patronage! Need help with something or have a question? Auction Committee members are wearing the dark green HCS shirts tonight. Want to help us pull off this fabulous fundraiser again next year? We’d love to chat with you! Please note that great care was taken in creating this book; we apologize for any inadvertent errors or omissions. 3 BUY-A-LINES are a super fun way to get an amazing item! Each item below has a specific number of lines available at a specific price. You may purchase as many lines as you wish, and you may choose the number of the line, based on availability.
