The 2018–2019 programme will see 154 events take place across both team and individual sports. To see a full list of the sports events available, visit our website: sport.iaps.uk. Boys hockey Thank you for booking onto an IAPS boys hockey qualifier. It is exciting to see our tournaments growing year on year. This year there will be nine U11 qualifying rounds and six U13 qualifiers. To ensure consistency, IAPS has created the draws and timings for all the qualifying tournaments. IAPS has consulted England Hockey to ensure that all age groups are playing within the recommended guidance. U11 children should play no more than 90 minutes of hockey per day, whilst U12 and U13 children should play no more than 105 minutes per day. The match length at each tournament has been created taking this into account. Also taken into consideration is the possibility of extra time during knockout matches. Roughly 10 minutes has been built into each qualifier to allow for any potential overrun. Whether this is your first time at an IAPS hockey qualifier or you have entered for many years, we hope your team enjoys the tournament. IAPS passionately believes in the importance of sport as part of an all-round education for its pupils. First and foremost, sport is about participation and enjoyment – good luck!
