（Press Release） J-MELO Special “What is LOVE?” ～Number-one song created with fans in the world～ NHK WORLD TV st May 31 (Sat) 09:10~09:55, 15:10~15:55, 21:10~21:55 st June 1 (Sun) 03:10~03:55 (JST) TOKYO, May 12th- “What is LOVE?”, the opening theme of “J-MELO” sung by “Morning Musume。'14”, a popular girls’ dance unit, reached number one on Japan’s music chart in January this year. “J-MELO” is a long-running music program of NHK WORLD TV. The song was created based on messages from about 700 NHK WORLD TV viewers in more than 60 countries and regions, sent in response to questions posed by famous music producer “Tsunku♂” --- such as “What is love?” and “What does it mean to live?”. “Love is something (that) doesn't need to pay back. The song became even more popular, as a lot of videos were posted showing viewers singing and dancing to the tune.
