NAPA COUNTY BASELINE DATA REPORT . CHAPTER 4 BIOLOGICAL RESOURCES PURPOSE UPDATE CHRONOLOGY The purpose of this chapter is to provide a NOVEMBER 30, 2005—VERSION 1 comprehensive summary of biological resources in Napa County and a mapped inventory of these features. The data assembled will provide a scientific basis for future regional and site-specific assessments of project impacts and for the evaluation of mitigation measures, conservation proposals, and enhancement opportunities for biological resources. It will also serve as a basis to evaluate current and future policies at the local and Countywide level as they relate to biological resource protection and enhancement.
