The eastern coast stretches from the Ganga delta in the north to Kanyakumari in the south. The northern part of the eastern coastal plain is called the Northern Circars and the southern part is called the Coromandal coast. This is the southernmost point of India. 17. The Lakshadweep islands are group of 36 coral islands in the Arabian Sea. 18. Lakshadweep stretches about 32 sq. km.
