He will be available 24-hours a day at the following phone number (480) 455-0048 and email address [email protected]. Media members may call, text or email at any time. Services to be provided by media relations staff include issuing a weekly news release, issuing news releases on other news items, season and gameday statistics, news conferences, practice and press box operations, and cre- dentials. PRACTICES The general practice schedule during the season is Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday approximately 9 a.m. Practices will be held at the Kino Sports Complex, 2500 E. Ajo Way. Practices are open to the news media. Attending practice implies that news media members covering practice con- sent to the following: • Information, including video, that would provide opponents with a strategic advantage such as formations, strate- gies, personnel shifts or injuries cannot be published, broadcast or posted on the internet or social media, includ- ing audible instructions from coaches during the course of practice. • No information on injuries or absent players can be reported prior to the team issuing an injury report or specifical- ly providing that information. A depth chart and injury report will be issued 48 hours prior to a given game. News media will be required to stay in a designated area at practice The head coach and players will be available for interviews after practice. The head coach will meet with the news media on the field immediately when practice ends. Players are available for interviews once the head coach com- pletes his interview session. Media should contact a Sugar Skulls media relations representative at practice to request players to be interviewed. CREDENTIALS Credentials will be issued to professional members of media outlets that regularly cover the Tucson Sugar Skulls. All requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis. All credential requests must be submitted using the form provided by the Tucson Sugar Skulls. To request a form for your organization, contact Steven Cusumano at [email protected]. Credential requests for a specific game must be received at least 48 hours prior to the game. Parking passes will be provided but may be limited. A Sugar Skulls Credential Policy will be included when news media members receive their credentials. By accepting the credential, news media members consent to the Sugar Skulls Credential Policy. GAMES There is limited space in the press box at the Tucson Arena. Priority will be given to news media that covers the Sugar Skulls on a regular basis and news media that is working on deadline. An overflow space for news media will be available if needed. Photographers and videographers will have designated areas from where to shoot in the arena. The Sugar Skulls locker room will be closed after games. The head coach will be available for media interviews outside the locker room area after the game. News media who want to speak to specific players should make that request to media relations staff prior to the end of the game. We will make every reasonable effort to fulfill all requests for players. A few days later it hosted Ike and Tina Turner in concert. Over the years it been host to many large touring acts including: Elvis Presley, Kiss, The Rolling Stones, Jimmy Buffett, Eric Clapton and U2. Tucson Convention Center is operated by SMG, the “gold standard” in public facility management. SMG has the programs, systems and talent in place to ensure that all SMG-managed facilities run smoothly and every event it hosts feels like a celebration. Dance Director Camryn Breese ....................................................................Team Captain www.tucsonsugarskulls.com 5 OWNERSHIP Cathy Guy, Owner Cathy Guy and her husband, Kevin, are the owners and founders of the Tucson Sugar Skulls. They also own Guy Sports and Enter- tainment, KG Coaching and G&T Sports, where Cathy handles all business operations aspects. Cathy is the Chief Operating Officer for the Sugar Skulls. She has spent the last 20 years leading departments in finance and human resources. Cathy also recently obtained her Arizona real estate license. Cathy achieved the rank of Captain in the United States Army Re- serves, Medical Services Corps where she directed finance and personnel departments of the 322nd General Hospital unit. A native of South America and raised in New York, Cathy graduat- ed from Fairleigh Dickinson University with her bachelor’s degree in psychology. In 1989, she received a commission as a Second Lieutenant from the Army ROTC program at Seton Hall University. Cathy has spent the last 11 years in Arizona. She is married to Kevin Guy and they have two children: Alexa and Kody. Ali Farhang, Minority Owner Ali Farhang is the Founder and Chairman of the Board for the NOVA Home Loans Arizona Bowl, which is held annually at Arizo- na Stadium in Tucson. Ali is a community activist and high school football coach who believes that making positive differences in ones’ community is an enormous aspect of living a successful life. Ali is also an AV-rat- ed attorney who practices in the areas of labor and employment, business consultation, commercial litigation and personal injury defense. Ali has litigated a wide variety of employment, traditional labor, corporate and general liability matters. Additionally, Ali has advised and assisted management clients seeking to enforce re- strictive covenants and with respect to a multitude
