After intermission the crowd settled back into their seats and we were intro- duced to Long’s teenage son, already tow- ering over his father. It was a nice touch to be reminded of the future of our scene after all the loss we felt this year. As tradition dictates the sponsors were paraded across the stage again to thank House band & Winner Danny Morris them for all they do and then it was time to announce the winner of the title Enter- tainer Of The Year. When the name Open Fire was announced the place erupted and you couldn’t help but feel like everyone in the room was a winner just by being there. Bill Howard It was a joyful moment and everyone was happy to share it with such a nice group of players. Afterwards for the third year in a row we all headed out to Lou’s Blues for the After Party and all the winners got to per- form. Along with them were award win- ners Elephant Gun, a band I was very happy to see take home a trophy. Julia Faith It was a great night and everyone en- joyed themselves. And why wouldn’t we? We’re all entertainers- we better to be able to entertain each other! A good party for a good cause…you can’t ask for more than that.
