FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: July 25, 2019 A’s Reinstate LHP Brett Anderson from PL; Option RHP Tanner Anderson to Las Vegas C Nick Hundley Reinstated from the Injured List and Designated For Assignment OAKLAND, Calif. – The Oakland A’s reinstated left-handed pitcher Brett Anderson from the paternity list and optioned right-handed pitcher Tanner Anderson to Triple-A Las Vegas, the club announced today. The A’s also reinstated catcher Nick Hundley from the 10-day injured list and designated him for assignment. Brett Anderson was placed on the paternity list on Monday. He is 9-5 with a 3.82 ERA and .253 opponents batting average in 20 starts with Oakland and his nine wins are two more than his combined total from the previous three seasons. Anderson has his most wins, starts and innings pitched (115.0) since 2015 with the Los Angeles Dodgers. Tanner Anderson was recalled from Las Vegas on Tuesday for his second stint with the A’s but did not pitch. He went 0-3 with a 6.04 ERA and .309 opponents batting average in five starts during his first stint from June 10 to July 4. Anderson is also 6-4 with a 5.54 ERA and .293 opponents average in 13 games, 12 starts, with the Aviators. Hundley was batting .200 with two home runs and five RBI in 31 games when he was placed on the 10-day injured list June 8 with back spasms. He also had arthroscopic surgery on his left knee June 18. Hundley went 5-for-25 (.200) with a home run and four RBI on a seven-game rehab assignment with the A’s Gold squad in the Arizona Rookie League and Single-A Stockton.
