How to get to Seili By Ferry The island of Seili lies to the north of Nauvo. The trip from Nauvo harbour to Seili (7 km) takes approximately 20 min by connecting ferry. The public transportation between Nauvo and Seili is organised by the Archipelago Sea navigation district Finnish Maritime Administration. The timetables of transportation to Seili change at least twice per year. It is therefore advisable and recommended that visitors to Seili check ferry timetables carefully in advance. The timetables, routes and phone numbers of ferries operating on the Archipelago Sea are all available here: www.saaristoliikenne.fi . In the winter season (Jan 1 – May 21 2009), m/s Satava operates between Nauvo and Seili. The ferry runs by agreement only. All reservations must be placed by 14.00 on the previous day (GSM +358-40- 849 5140). Therefore, Seili is accessible from both Nauvo and Hanka. m/s Linta will again begin running May 22 2009 and continues until August 30 2009. See the timetable here: m/s Linta (May 22 - Aug 30 2009) By Car The Nauvo harbour can be reached via Saaristotie (road nr 180), which forks from the Turku-Helsinki motorway in Kaarina. The distance from Kaarina to Nauvo is about 40 km. The Parainen-Nauvo ferry crossing is along the route; the ferry operates according to a timetable (about four times per hour in the summer season). The ferry timetables can be found on the Ferryportal webpage. The drive from Kaarina to Nauvo takes about an hour. In summer holiday seasons there may be delays due to long queues at the ferry crossing. In Nauvo, the connecting ferry leaves from the quay next to the guest harbour. Hanka in Rymättylä can be reached via road nr 189 from Turku via Naantali. The distance from Turku to the centre of Rymättylä is approx. 36 km, and a further 15 km to Hanka in Aaslaluoto via Airismaa. A ferry runs between Aaslaluoto and Airismaa (see the timetable). By Bus The white-green buses of Saaristoliikenne Oy run daily between Turku and Nauvo. There are also connections to the Helsinki express buses, in which case you must change buses in Piispanristi. The buses between Turku and Rymättylä (Röölä) are operated by TLO ltd, Turun Linja-autoilijain Osakeyhtiö. The Naantali - Rymättylä timetables are organised so that the Naantali-Röölä buses fit the connecting buses between Turku and Naantali. The buses run to Hanka only during school summer holidays (from the first full week of June until the second week of August). .
