Solder Fast Zinc #503-029 Joins most metals, including copper, brass, stainless steel, nickel and bronze. Not for use on aluminum, magnesium, or pot metal. If Solder Fast flux burns off before solder flows, apply a small amount of Solder Fast flux (#503-040) to the area. Store at room temperature (60°-78°F/15–25°C). If stored above 80°F/27°C, solder and flux will separate. Tensile strength: 22,000psi Ingredients: Tin, silver, petrolatum glycerine, ammonium tetrafluoroborate, aminoethylethanolamine, zinc oxide (fume), bismuth. Flow Temperature: 400°F/204°C Directions: No additional flux is necessary. No training is required. Solder Fast can be used with a soldering iron, open flame, butane, propane, mapp or acetylene gases. The solder finish is bright and won't tarnish or blacken. 1. Thoroughly clean the surfaces being soldered. Remove all dirt, grease and buffing compounds. 2. Position all parts to be joined for good contact. Where necessary, use tweezers, clamps or a vise to maintain contact. 3. Apply a sufficient quantity of paste solder to the joint. 4. Heat lightly at first. If solder does not flow instantly, apply more heat to the metal and around the joint until solder flows. 5. Wash off flux residue with warm water and a stiff brush. Do not use jewelry pickling solution on Solder Fast. First Aid Procedures Eyes: Flush with water for 15 minutes holding eyelids open. Seek medical attention. Skin: Wash area with soap and water. Seek medical attention if irritation persists. Inhalation: Remove person to fresh air. Restore breathing if necessary. Seek medical attention. Ingestion: Seek medical attention immediately. DO NOT induce vomiting. Leak or Spill Procedures: Wear personal protective equipment. Use an inert absorbent material. Sweep or scoop up spill, and place into a suitable sealed container.
