Nashville Grade December 2019 School—Primary School Edition NASHVILLE #49 SUPERINTENDENT’S UPDATES By: Michael Brink-Nashville #49 Superintendent [email protected] It is hard to believe that the second semester is here already! I think that we are all ready for some warmer weather and to see the sun again! Unfortunately, we very well may have some more snow and inclement weather headed our way. As a reminder, Nashville #49 will continue to post all school cancellations on Channels 2, 4, and 5. Additionally, any cancellation will be announced on local radio station WNSV 104.7 and a School Messenger call will be made to all families. We will make every effort not to dismiss early from school after kids are already present. If weather conditions deteriorate quickly and we need to dismiss early, a School Messenger call will be made immediately. Please call me if you have questions regarding our weather cancellation procedures. Nashville #49 adopted the annual Certificate of Tax Levy on In This Issue December 19 at the regular Board of Education meeting. Since Halloween Pg. 2-5 the district’s levy was above 5 %, a Truth in Taxation Hearing was held prior to the regular meeting. Many parents came to the classroom and interacted with the students.
